I have a sticker on the front door, back door, and windows saying "Intruders will be shot" underneath that it says the same thing but in spanish. Look go to the swap meet and buy some folder knives, they sell 3 for $10. Some one breaks in, shoot them and drop a blade next to them.

You might target more thieves because guns are valuable.

I just get a descent alarm system, or at least a DOG sign.

Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.

I am a little confused, if someone breaks in into your house, aren't you gonna be in trouble for shooting someone if they don't technically oppose any direct threat to your or your family's lives?

Anyone breaking into my house I consider a threat that deserves to be met with deadly force.... Not taking the chance that someone in my house is just 'there for my stuff'

I wonder of the wisdom of stating in the window stickers that we are armed. On one side, we don't want to advertise that there may be valuable guns in the house. On the other side, we want would be thieves and robbers to choose an easier target.

What says the forum? Should we end up shooting an intruder (only in defense of our safety and life, of course) can this construed by an overzealous DA as premeditation to use deadly and excessive force?

Well, we keep little cash, no jewelry, expensive electronics or art objects at home. Forget drugs, the cough syrup is the strongest drug around here
Mention the video survailance maybe, arguemnets can be made both ways, mention the guns no.

If someone breaks into your home and you're there then they will find out the hard way that you're armed. If you're not home then your CCTV will help prosecute the perpetrator.
yeah, a sticker advertising CCTV would just have the perps aware that they need ski masks....better to catch them off guard if it comes down to it..

LMAF That's is freaking funny. Never thought the need to drop a blade if they are breaking in to my house but what a good save it can be lol.

Everyone knows i own a freaking armory in my house that is in a impossible to break in safe, unless your comming with plasma cutters and a few hours to spare your not getting to my firearms. And i carry a trunk gun, the same gun i holster at work. Put up the signs, if the burgler is retarted enough to still break in thats free target pratice.

The cheap drop knife thing reminded me of an episode of Sons Of Anarchy. The main character is chasing a guy through a building. Finally gets him and talks to him before taking him out.

Best line after that to the cops.
