    Should i send negative feedback?

Since i haven't been on this site for long i don't want to do something stupid but on the other hand in my book a deal is a deal.

I made an offer on a gun for full asking price if he would meet me close to my office. He agreed to come up here yesterday so i went and got the money.
Then i don't here from him
This morning he says that he had a family thing so couldn't make it. and that he is just going to keep the gun.
In a later pm he said that he ended up selling it yesterday for more then he was asking.
I can understand wanting to get as much as you can but how about letting me know so that i don't waste my time running to the bank and expecting to meet him.

per the rules, it sounds like Neutral Feedback is in order

    16) iTrader ratings. Negative feedback should be reserved for transactions where one party has lost either money or goods, or the delivered product is substantially different than advertised. Positive feedback is appropriate for a transaction with good communications between they parties involved and that completes in a timely manner. Neutral feedback is for everything else, including transactions which are not completed. Use the comment section to describe why you gave the rating you did. Retaliatory feedback is not tolerated and should be reported to a moderator. See Rule #15 regarding Marketplace Disputes.
now, had you driven to the FFL nad he was a no show, then you are out money (cost of gas) and IMO that would warrant a Negative.

I agree, and OP, please spell it out so others know what they might expect.

You do not have grounds for giving negative feedback.

He drove to the bank and got the money out so he's out the cost of the gas.

            I'd still "out" the guy.

How does he not have grounds for negative feedback? He backed out of the deal for what ever the real reason is and then he sold it to another without warning... If two calgunners make a deal and the one flakes on the other- that is a BAD TRANSACTION. Hence, bad feedback is in order.

                      Negative

Member Shopkeep was tossed out for the same thing...backing out on an agreed upon deal, and selling the weapon for more than the first buyer offered.

The seller needs to be outed.

Yup I feel the rules need to be update to include flakeing like this on a made deal.
At the minimum out him so other perspective buyers will know going in.

I would say neg feedback. its one thing for someone to flake when i am just sitting looking on my computer or at home and I get the "bad" news its another when I go through the motion of running around getting money wasting MY gas and MY time to make sure I am reliable and hold my end of the deal up. So yeah i am out money even though you don't see it

Maybe there needs to be another category, "other"

Use the comments section to describe the actions taken

And let the readers judge for themselves.

I know what my view is, and it's not "neutral"

                              Unless there's a new definition I don't know about
