    Optometrist , Vision Correction

    Hi all,

Just had my vision corrected by Dr. Norman Wong:

Took in my M1 Garand and he fitted me with the best lens for that application, also got fitted for handgun shooting as well. Great guy, very reasonable fees. Knows all about our needs.

    Stay safe,

    John

Nice. I wish there was a guy like him near me.

    Where is he located?

Took me a minute to get it.

        Pray and spray?

I just went through the ordeal of prescription shooting glasses.

        I have three distances (trifocals)

I had to explain everything I wanted to the Doc.

For what I paid, it would have been nice to get some information instead.

I'm happy with the result, but I was a better shot 50 years ago.

lemans, well said. Dr. Wong has been my optometrist for decades. Always friendly and thorough. His place is in San Francisco. I believe he shot competitive pistol while in the military, so he does know what we shooters need. He keeps a make shift, made out of 2 pieces of wood handgun thing for you to hold to help gauge your needs. Haha, it might even have the same angle as a 1911! I will give him my business as long as I'm able.

              location

He is in San Francisco, parking is not that easy, go early and prepare for 2 to 3 hours for the complete eye exam and fitting.

Yeah, I'd give my left nut for a guy like him here in SoCal. My aging eyes are really starting to get in the way of my pistol shooting.

Left nuts are expensive. How about a round trip Southwest Airlines plane ticket up to SFO and back to Socal? Cheaper, and less painful.
