2.)Why is it that if guns are sooooo unsafe that you're 9 times more likely to die at the hands of your doctor?

I can't think of any reason at all to get one. I have no idea what I'd do with it. BUT, I may just buy one and see what I find to do with it...
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

not to mention that .410 shells aren't any cheaper than 223's are. Slugs are even more money...

It would ROCK for home defense!

You'd have to have a mag lock on it, no matter what configuration, though. But I'd take a bullet button and 10+1 rounds of .410 3" slugs for an HD gun any day. That's a combo even a petite and/or recoil-nervous wife or GF could handle.

ETA: especially in a carbine-like config. And you wouldn't be as deaf as you would if you used an AR carbine for HD... You'd probably be almost totally deaf for the rest of your life after lighting off 5.56 inside your hallway.

Only if the shotgun is semi-automatic.

but then what is the point if it's manual action and still in AR15 format?
