DROS with temp license?

Lost my wallet yesterday. F***!

Anywho, I was planning on purchasing a few new firearms this month before I visit some family and have a big shoot in Oregon. Does anyone know if it will still be possible for me to do this?

I've heard that once I go down to the DMV they'll give me some sort of paper temp license until my new one arrives in the mail which could take around 5 or 6 weeks.

My common sense tells me there should be no difference since it's just the number they need and I'm in their computer system already. And I have DROS'd guns before. But I'm just wondering if there's going to be any problems or if the certain gun stores will give me any grief.

Anyone done this before?

No go. I tried it before with a temp license and they won't do it. I'm sure someone here can cite the actual DOJ language about it.

I am in the same boat waiting for my new DL. I called iron sights and they new the card no temp dont no about anyone else

Nope, temp license will not work. Wait for the real thing. Might be quicker to get a CA. ID card.

Don't they give a receipt with your address on it? My friend was able to use his receipt for a California id that had his license to dros a firearm last year. They wouldn't take the brown address change card so he had to get another. Maybe he just got lucky?

you can here in texas. i picked up my temporary id and a stack of handguns in the same afternoon. and both transactions took about 20 minutes total.
