Double Make Sure Your Guns are Secure- LA Gun Buy Back Program in Effect

I am batting 1000 today. Watched that dumb ***** Maher interview with Leno on You Tube and then the LA News Channel 2 special on the LA gun buy back program.

Think I would of been happier with a root canal.

I have had enough anti-Americanism for one day thank you very much.

What has a gun buyback have to do with securing them? Like a thief is stupid enough to sell a stolen gun to a cop at the station? I don't understand your point...

They say the buy back program is no questions asked- That's my point.

      They give $100.00 gift cards.

That's the reason I don't bother to watch that crap. My TV is tired of me yelling at it.

turn in a surplus of used hi-points ?

either way I'd not jump on the assumption that the gun buyback program is a success or failure without some hard #'s. Good luck getting those.

The people that are turning them in are not the people that are would ever be shooting them. They are old ladies turning in their dead husband's never-fired 1964 Colt Python, a 79 year-old guy turning in a broken 1975-ish Sears .22 Rifle that won't fire a round if you tried, and a soccer-Mom bringing in an Air-soft gun thinking it was real.

....Of course, then you have the planted "turn-ins" from the evidence room to make it all look worthwhile, like a FN FAL and an IMI UZI Pistol.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?
