I think both factory ammo and loading components are going to continue to rise. Maybe not as fast as when Obama became President and people were buying everything on the shelves, but rise nonetheless. Component elements like copper have risen, so cases and bullets will go up. Powder and primers, while down from their highs, have steadily cost more, and I don't see any reason why that should change. In anticipation, I just bought 6 lbs of powder, and I already have a lot of bullets and primers. If I see a deal on anything, I'll stock up more.

lead and copper have been going up and as a result i think most ammo manufacturers will be raising their prices next week. It would be a good time stock up right now

I think the rock-bottom prices you can get by shopping around will continue to go up over the long-term because of commodity prices. A lot of local prices have come down significantly from last year's peak, but are still way higher than before the big price run-up, so I think local prices will be flat or possibly drop a bit based on local conditions.

Ya. I was just thinking. Hey you don't get anything for your money in the Bank so if you had $200 you maybe better off buying $200 in Ammo to hold on to vs just having your money sit there.

As the dollar continues to decline the price of commodities will continue to rise. Thus the cost of ammo will.

How about this one. China's ecological time bombs goes off, hundreds of thousands are forced to leave their homes, wrecking their economic expansion, reducing the amounts of copper, steel, and other raw materials they import. Commodity prices worldwide drop 25% over several months, the world economy slows.

America's military leaves Iraq, Afghanistan and reduces their ammo consumption by 30%. Ammo making companies all over the world find their production capacity is exceeding worldwide demand.

Ammo prices in America gradually fall by about 20% over two years.

What do you think? Could it happen?

Do you mean just before the next presidential election, when gun owners realize that the (abused wife who won't leave their husband) american people, will probably vote obama back in?

Or after the next election, when obama has nothing to lose; after idot americans, ACORN, the unions, Black Panthers, and other communist groups, help win him the next election?

Or after the next election, if obama loses; the unions, communist groups, Van Jones crowd, ect... rise up and protest against "a rigged election by racist white people and corporations, detemined to keep a black man out of the White House".

Then you have the Myan 2012 calender crowd, with all these events merging at the same time...

I realize that technically this is all under two years, but who is counting a few months right?
