    FieldTime in Westminster

Wow, just came back form the store and it was awesome. One of the nicest laid out gunstore I've seen in a while, just down the street from the Stockade on Beach and Yes, they are less expensive. Primers at $35 per 1000, not bad when you are in a pinch. Powder, guns, ... very nice setup. It's a nice size store not a mom and pop.

I also went on my maiden voyage to Fieldtime with Bongo's and Bigbronco
my thoughts of the store mirror Bongo's

Pricey. Would love to give them money, but can't given their prices. If they were located in Newport / Laguna, maybe. In Westminster? Hmm...no.

Well, what is consider cheap? if every gunstore is so expensive. I don't know, by my iTrader rating I buy a lot of used guns, parts, etc.. true there is a huge savings but I also reload, when buying reloading components you take chances.. for instance if the powder is too old, it will have a reddish oil to it which is acidic to any metal it comes in contact with, do you take the chance? In bullets, I've seen heavy bullets mixed in with light bullets when buying bulk and used, if you did not sort them, and load light bullet load with a heavy bullet.. accidents can happen.. on components to save a few bucks, a group buy is the answer but it could take weeks to get everyone together and settle before the product arrives and what if you need components in a pinch. All I'm saying is I noticed fieldtime's pricing is less compared to Stockade or Fowlers. For instance a friend of my needed some Redding 223 dies, at wideners they go for $34.95, Fieldtime has them for $41.95.. when you factor in shipping, even with tax the cost is about the same and my friend walked home with the dies in hand...

With hard times and gun store closings, it's nice to have a nice one like Fieldtime

I think there is at least two of those models in stock. The new model in stock, a very pretty skinny redhead is also worth checking out!

Walked in, got ignored for 15 min in an empty store, then after a discussion on OLL & BB legalities was told that I "didn't know what the F i was talking about". I was there to purchase a handgun, I told the I would be purchasing elsewhere and please have a nice day.

How did you get into a discussion about OLL/BB when you are there to purchase a handgun. They are two totally separate things. I had no problems there. good store and plenty nice people. No matter if I did a PPT or if I bought some small stuff they always treated me nicely. Maybe they are tired of everyone coming there and telling/discussing with them the legalities/do's and don't of gun laws in California. You live in Hemet yet you drove all the way to Westminster to buy a pistol knowing you are gonna come back in 10 days?

Had a good experience there as well. Prices were comparable to other gun stores I've been to in the greater LA area. Good selection... Got to hold everything I've been wanting on my wish list. People were a lot less pushy than Martin B. Retting. Walked away spending $200 on stuff I didn't need. Will definitely go back.

I've been there a couple times and am THRILLED to have them and hope they succeed. They are better stocked/variety than ANY Turners or small gunshop I've ever seen in a long time. I went to their "Reloading Seminar" and it was presented by the owner. VERY nice guy and extremely knowledgeable. I believe the PYT at the check out is his daughter...it IS a family store. I wish we had 100 more just like em.

The owner is a nice guy. He previously worked at the Stockade. I have always had a good experience at his store.
