    M&P 40C Leather holster.....done

Just finished a holster for an M&P9/40C. I've been experimenting on what kind of holster for the compact M&P, and this is the result.

I started making this holster early this afternoon and finished around 4pm.

I also did one for a CZ 75 Compact. This one has a belt snap instead of a belt slot so putting it on and off is easy and no need to take off the belt. I'm not too fond of the design, but it works.

Also, I finally finished the holster set I made for my dad (Belt, Holster for 4" 1911, and a single mag carrier)

Bear with me since I'm just a month old in holster making. So still pretty rough on the edges. Comments and critique appreciated.

    nice work man
i like the belt snap design
That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me. You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. Dosen't show up on your airport X-ray machines, here, and it cost more than you make in a month.

Very cool and I have to say pretty outstanding for only a months time into the hobby! Have you made any inside the waistband holsters yet?

        Nice work....those look great.

I'm curious.....what is the process for forming the leather to the gun and having it keep it's shape like those?

Leather work is something I've been curious about trying.

Thanks guys, I haven't made any IWB holsters yet, soon. As far as forming the leather, I wet form it using water..warm water. Then I use a smooth folding tool (you can get one at Tandy Leather.) The wet forming takes practice and a lot of trial and error. The best way on how to learn is to first copy some existing designs out in the market and then make your own. I'm going to post a simple how to later in the week once my dsl is up. ATT's dsl modem seem to die on me every year.
