    What's a good pellet rifle?

Well I have been kind of interested in getting a nice pellet rifle. I have been looking at the Rugers. There is only 2 criteria that must be met. First is it must be a break barrel. Second is I would like it to be in .177. I would not mind if it had interchangeable barrels for .177 and .22. I would appreciate any input.

In rotc we have to use air rifles since the safe schools act we use Avanti 753 Elite. They are very accurate air rifles but it doesn't fit your first criteria sry

If you want one that will last forever get an old Beeman (pre-1993).

My Crosman CO2 carbines are so accurate they're pretty boring to shoot. No recoil, shot after shot going to the same hole.

I shoot my powder burners just to humble myself down.

I have a Gamo Hunter spring rifle that has a twang similar to a recoil. You could never go wrong with Crosman or Gamo. I shoot my air rifles 100X more often than my powder burners because I don't have to go to a range.

Nice, I have a feeling that's going to be my trend once my Gamo whisper comes in thru the mail. Cans and bottles, prepare to meet your maker

pics of my Gamo Hunter 440

                          BSA scope
                          full aluminum shroud
                          heavy muzzle brake

I used a small piece of styrofoam pipe insulation around the scope, cut some "X's" on it, and use it as a pellet holder for its favorite ammo.

There's quite a bunch of them and with varying prices. Any where from $100 to over $1000.

Shop quality air rifles for all purposes, from hunting to competition. Expert advice is available to find the best air rifle for your shooting style.

Check out Air Arms, Weihrauch, RWS for quality break spring rifles. Crosman and Gamos (as well as the Winchester, Remington, Ruger variants) are actually at the lower end of the break barrel air rifles, but they will get the job done.

Impressive piece of work. What trigger do you have installed on that beast? It looks aftermarket. I remember reading reviews by scores of people saying to swap out the factory trigger with a GRT-III trigger instead. What trigger do you use?
