That is the dumbest thing I have read on here in a long time. There is no good that would come out of banning lead.

Actually a lot of the lead free stuff now shoots better than most of the lead. What happens when science is pushed to find new ways around a problem. Of course if the Gun Banners aren't carful people will invent new stuff....there are allready super powerful air rifles that can knock down a 450lb wild boar with one shot. Google 458 air rifle.

Agreed. Debate it or frame the issue any way you that you want, it's still a restriction on freedom.

It seems like all they are doing is trying to find one more way to make it more difficult or more expensive to shoot.

And I'd buy it if I wanted to.

I do NOT want to be told I have no choice. It's just more freaking micro-control by the government. First light bulbs... ammo... guns... it's not about the issues: it's about the control.

The funny thing is that in Virginia, using non lead ammo is an additional charge if used while committing a felony.

If these environmentalists really wanted to get lead out of our ammo they should stop focusing on forcing the government to make it so, and should instead come up with new inexpensive non-lead ammo.

If there was a non-lead ammo that shot as good as lead ammo and came in at a price lower than freaking Wolf, I'd buy it by the case load. This is what bugs me about environmentalists, they attack problems from the wrong angle. They focus on forcing people to do things they don't want to do instead of creating a real benefit to the end user to change their habits. I mean I personally am not tied to lead ammo. I just want to buy 7.62x39 for $4.19 a box. Give me a non-lead alternative at that price point and you got a customer, and you don't even need the government to ban anything that way.

(The thing is, I think some of these so called environmentalists just want my ammo to jump for $4.19 to $30 so I don't get to shoot at all)
