Airgun help needed please. Looking for something accurate and quiet

Looking to buy a pellet gun(most likely a .177) to help rid my yard of pesky critters. Looking to spend about or under $200, and have it come with a usable scope to about 30yrds. Cabelas has the Gamo Whisper for $190 right now but I figured I would ask around before dropping the money on it.

The Gamo Whisper is not too loud, but it does sound like a pneumatic stapler when fired.
The most popular upgrade for these is the Charliedatuna trigger, and possibly a gas spring.

The Gamo's (made in Spain) are a step or two above the Daisy / Winchester (Turkey) branded products for not much more money.

Spare parts and upgrades for the Gamos are available as mentioned above, not much is available for the Daisy / Winchester guns, so that tells you something right there.

So for the sub $200 budget is it a decent rifle or would you suggest something else, and what exactly is a gas spring upgrade going to do for me?

I use a Gamo on ground squirrels, it is accurate but for quite I'm not impressed, for hand gun I use a crossmans C1377 this is way more quite then the Gamon

I also have a Gamo. Great for squirrels and other pests. Big Cat 1200 is not loud but not quiet either. I paid $150 with a 4x32 scope.

check local laws. Some towns consider airguns like firearms...no discharge inside city limits.

I'm outside of city limits so no worries.

Here's a pretty good deal on a great rifle. I've had my RWS for years, it has always been extremely accurate and has a great adjustable trigger.

Check out this great deal on the Diana RWS 34. Need advice? Let our airgun specialists help you today!

Get yourself a Crosman 1377, add a 4X and a mount and be set for around $120, heck, throw on a shoulder stock for another $30 and you'd have a nice small, lightweght carbine.

The Cabela's deal on that Whisper is awesome. I overpaid for mine by $10 (shipped) vs. the one you can get off of Cabela's ($216) shipped to 92780. I'd go for that definitely.
