Cool. I did read the thread title and think you guys devised a clever way to bring some brews into battle. -

I like the look of that pack a lot, can you fit a Vector 21 or 23 laser rangefinder in the lower outside pouch? Also, do you really have to switch to the backpack straps for weights over 25 pounds or can you go heavier with the quick release buckles shown in the pics?
As a forward observer I think your pack would be really useful in holding my electronics gear and other odds and ends. What I'm thinking is one 3 liter bladder, ASIP radio with handmike and antennae with maybe a cord routed to my front hooked up to a PFED, spare batteries, the laser rangefinder, stripped down MRE and a spare t-shirt and two pairs of socks, then on the side a small tripod. and of course the extra mags.Last edited by rero360; 04-23-2011, 9:59 PM.

The 25lb thing is just a recommendation. if you can run it with more weight and it still feels comfortable with your body type than more power to you. There are quite a few people that have carried more weight than that and love the direct clip system. either way its good to have the option to do either or.Comment
