Custom Molded Hocks Noisebreaker Earplugs

I was at the Cow Palace gun show this past weekend and decided to purchase a pair of the custom fit ear plugs with the Hocks Noise Braker inserts. I figure I can always buy more ammo, but I can't get my hearing back once it's gone. Anyway, they took a casting of my ears and sent the mold away to another facility where they will create the actual plugs. I should see the final product in about 10 days.

In the mean time, I thought it would be interesting to see what experience people have had with these. Good, bad, meh... whatever your experience I would like to hear about it.

I saw a fellow making these custom molded plugs with the filter. It was at a training class though, so students would get fitted with the mold, and then he'd make them throughout the the day so you'd have them finished by the time you left. He often had to adjust or tweak the finished product to make them fit in the ear, so keep that in mind. You might have to sand off a little here and there on your own unless you know where to find him again.
