    Miwall Reload ammo

Has anyone shot Miwall's reloaded ammo? Looking at picking up some 10mm ammo and just wondering if it's worth the chance on buying their reloaded stuff.

Will say it is cheap, 180gr TMJ, 250rd for 45.95
They also sell the new Miwall 180gr JHP, 50rd for 12.95

I've shot about 5K of their .40S&W reloads with no problems. I did find one round with the primer in backwards.

I have shot about 2k of the 40s&w and it shoots well. I found one round with the bullet loaded backwards though.

I've only been through 500 rounds of the Miwall .45 . It was much more consistent than the other two brands of reloads I have tried previously. No failures to feed fires or cycle the action

I haven't shot any but I have a friend who shoots a lot of their 9mm and loves it. Whenever I buy Remington UMC or some other factory range fodder he whines and tells me i could have bought Miwall reloads for a lot cheaper.

+1 to the bullet loaded backwards deal. I've never shot any of their ammo but at a quarry shoot someone that had Miwall reloads did find ONE that had a backwards projectile. He's a poster here too and might comment on it.

I have gone through 500 rounds of .45 and 150 rounds of 10mm Miwall reloads and I would do it again

I've seen this in big name ammo company loads too.

                    lots stuff

Back when I owned the gunshop (Norcal Shooters Supply) Miwall was our main supplier of ammo. Something like 70% of our handgun ammo sales was their reloaded ammo. We had very few problems over the years. The thing I remember the most was damaged primers. Most still fired but they were very deformed in the pocket. We also had some reloaded 5.56mm ammo that the primer crimps were not removed properly before reloading, causing some really bad primers. Out of the roughly five years of selling their ammo we are talking only about a couple dozen examples total. Like I said most still fed and fired. Just do a good visual inspection while loading your mags and everything should be fine.

I don't buy Miwall reloads but I do buy their factory-new ammo (which they 'manufacture' themselves).

I find it quite good. Their 44Mag is not quite up to power of boxed Remington ammo, and their 45LC ammo is anemic near-cowboy-strength (i.e., near 45ACP). They need to have a Ruger-only 45LC round that's at least as powerful as boxed brands - not asking for Buffalo Bore, but they can get a lot more muzzle velocity if they tried.

I've heard of similar primer incidents in quality factory ammo. I've seen misshapen bullets in Winchester bulk ammo myself, along with dinged cases on some Federal ammo.

                        +1 for Miwall

I'll definitely be stopping by their booth at the upcoming OC show...

                          Help me with the math.

How much on average do you spend on entrance and parking fees at gun shows to buy Miwall?

How much does shipping, haz fee, and handling cost for 500 rounds (let’s say from Outdoor Marksman) of Miwall 223 reloads to NoCal?

The reason why I ask is that OM sells 500 rounds of Miwall reloads for $76. One of the ranges I shoot at offers it for $105 (everybody needs to make a living).

                          Thanks in advance.

With the amount I buy shipping would add up.

Plus I treat gunshows as entertainment. If you factored my gas to Big Reno Show, hotel, and the massive prime rib costs, that'd make the ammo pricey. (Though GF's poker winnings and my slot winnings every other time seem to help reduce the hotel bill). But I eat prime rib anyway and go on trips, so why not?

I usu buy Fed Amer Eagle or XM193 in bulk since that can be gotten for $90-$100/500...

I wish Miwall would have a Bay Area warehouse in a storage space so it's more readily accessible than every few months.

                              Madmex,

Your math is correct and you’re welcome in advance

Your assuming one is going to the gun show for Miwall ammo exclusively. If Miwall ammo were the only item I wanted to look at or purchase I wouldn’t go to a gun show.

Maybe I wanna look at costume jewlery and chew on special blends of beef jerkey. Thats why I like Kali gun shows
