    Great day shooting... except

for the three asshats with no clue about gun safety or etiquette.

My GF and I went to Hodge Rd and had a great time, mostly just shooting around 600 rounds of .22's. So on the way back to the road these three guys are putting up clays one at a time with a hand held thrower and shooting them with a pump. The problem was they were not throwing/shooting toward the berm at a 90 deg away from the trail, they were shooting parallel to the trail, in the direction we were coming at them. At no point did they change the direction, or stop while we went by. Funny thing was my GF had mentioned when we saw them on the way in that you couldn't pay her to shoot next to them. I did not feel the need to confront them just to get out of a bad situation as soon as possible.

Well that is the attitude of many of the trap pukes in our club. Usually as they stand there with a beer in one hand and a loaded shotgun in the other.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with trap and beer...as long as its not stronger than coors light.

I went to a private shoot (wedding rehearsal dinner actually) at a private trap/skeet club. The standing rule was no drinking until you were done shooting. Of course, Coors light was ok since that's not drinking!

No, Hodge Rd. west of the 15fwy is BLM.
