    Getting walked in on...

I was attending a weekend shooting match once. There was no housing, as is generally the case for private club matches so I decided to motel...

Gotta like the way the story ends though.

Great story. Makes you wonder why the maid would walk in like that or if the guy didn't hear her if she knocked. Putting the no maid service can help.

Great story, makes you wonder about how many officers are just out to get you so they can gain some recognition. Good to see an old timer put them in there place by easly seeing what was actually going on.

Sadly, the said old-timers are retiring. Here's to hoping that they prepare good replacements before they retire.

The young cop sounded like a bona fide douche. I think there should be more like the sergeant. Just sayin.

The two officers gave the sergeant a dirty look as the sergeant turned to me and looked at the bulletin and scorecard I offered him. He looked at the scorecard and turned to the pair of officers. "That's a 90 and a 95 at 600 yards," he said. "Betcha this guy could take your heads off at that range if he wanted to."

              Priceless!!

He should have just stayed in his room and not answered the door.

The manager would have let the cops in.

He was smart in meeting them in the lobby... probably saved him from getting proned out or shot.

                      My favorite part:

I looked at the sergeant. "You got about ten feet of that 'Crime Scene-do not enter' tape I could drape across the door to keep the maid out?" I asked.

The younger officer interrupted and said something about how the tape was for official police business.

The sergeant snapped back, "We used to buy it at the police hardware store until purchasing found they were being raped. Now we buy it off the rack at the joke and novelty store."

Kinda off topic, but I worked with a guy who was almost totally deaf. Even with his hearing aids he missed most of what you would say. One time out of town for work, he turned off his hearing aid to sleep and the maid came in on him and stole his watch and some money off the desk. He never knew she was there until he woke up and found stuff missing. He got his stuff back after filing a complaint.
After hearing this tho, I always put the bar on my hotel room doors, even if you forget to put the "Do not disturb" sigh out, they still can't just walk in. Especially in Vegas when I sleep in pretty late.

Some do, some don't. Many also ignore the "Do not disturb" sign, or just don't know what it means. You get what you pay for when you hire the cheapest workers you can find.
