    Pistol scope advice needed...

I've got a Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter that if I don't trade away I'm going to mount a scope on. I have zero experience with this so I've got a question or two: with pretty long arms, what "eye relief" am I looking for and what scope (in the $200 range) should I be looking at?

    Thanks.

Pistol scope eye relief is what it is. Your arms will adjust to the distance, arm length is not important as they will bend to accommodate the ER, it is almost natural. I like about 6 or 8 max mag 2X and 4X fixed pistol scopes are the most common. A Weaver will run you about 200 stay away from Swift.
Any scope in that price range should be as good as it gets.

Thanks for the no-go call on Swift, I had one picked out.

Leupold 2X is a great hunting scope. I use one on my .454 Casull, and have had great luck with it. Larger magnifications really require a very steady rest, which is OK for my Contender, but no good for shooting offhand or at moving targets.
Leupolds have a lifetime warranty, and can really handle hard recoil.
