I always wanted to get a grenade blank and cut a hole into a potato to launch it.

Now I know to put the butt of the gun onto the ground. The recoil on that must kick like a mule. Probably woulda dislocated my shoulder

ALL grenade launchers on rifles should ALWAYS be used with the butt against the ground, NEVER from the shoulder...Yes, you WILL hurt yourself if you do use it from the shoulder (IMHO)

Now if Im wrong, educate me, but Ive never seen one shot from the shoulder (I mean like old skool M1 Garand, etc)

Anti-tank grenades were fired from the shoulder. Anti-personnel with the butt on the ground.
