I only have one shotgun, and usually shoot it with slugs... I'd always been partial to rifles, but have twice as many handguns, and they are more convenient to take out, as the indoor ranges are open later.

8" at 25 yards with which gun? Depending on the gun, it's either pretty good, or f'in extraordinary
Either my older Kimber Gold match or H&K USP elite makes an 8" group at that range pretty easy- if it was a snub revolver, or a pocket gun, that's really impressive! I used to be quite good with a PPK/s, but it's been years since I've shot mine (very unpleasant for a heavy .380).

I bought a walther TPH (pocket .22 pistol) which came with a 15 yard test target with about a 1" group fired into it- I'd like to meet the Walther test shooter someday (yeah, I know, probably fired from a ransom rest!). I must sadly admit, I haven't fired it yet to see how well I can do with it!!
