Legal Shotgun Shipping Rules?

I have an old shot gun 1950's or more.
I have private party that wants to buy it and I was going to ship it to them.

Is it legal to ship a shotgun that is older than 1950?

From what I understand it is legal..I just want to double check.

Yes you can ship a 50+ year old shotgun directly to a buyer in California. If the buyer resides in another State, it has to go through an FFL in their State.

Ask for an adult signature on the other end. Ask for a copy of their D/L to make sure that they are over 21 , just to be doubly safe.

Yea I get what you are saying but I do not believe they use C&R guns, but that is besides the point. If you refuse to sell a legal firearm to a legal buyer just because he is not 21 when it is only required by law to be 18 than that is your right. I was just trying to make sure the OP was not under the impression that you have to be 21 to buy a C&R long gun.
