I was at Big5 and seen a BarskaM16 red dot ACOG look alike. I was thinking of trying it out on one of my AR's, I have optics on one already but wanted to try it on "spikes tactical budget rifle". Any reviews?

thats NOT a scope...its a red dot. for the same money you can get a PA red dot which will hold up longer, weigh less, and has a smaller profile
this is a good Barska scope...
http://www.barska.com/AR_15_Scopes-4...ail_Mount.html its not great, but its cheapComment

I tried out a Barska spotting scope a couple years ago, and it was terrible. Visual artifacts, blurry (wouldn't focus sharp). It was returned promptly.

Skip Barska entirely. They're utter ****.
If you want cheap optics, get Primary Arms. They're damn good. I mean, they're not Aimpoint, but then they're not claiming to be, either. I highly recommend the M4-style paired with a magnifier, if you've got a full-length rail. If you only have a rail on the upper, go with the M3-style with the cantilever mount and a magnifier.NRA Life Member
