    Norinco 1911 VS CMP Garand?

I've got a little tax money set aside here. I originally set it aside for a cmp garand but now I found a norinco 1911 which I could buy and get ammo for the difference. I'm torn here so what would you guys pick? Also don't say both as I only have money for one.

Go for the Norinco! Only so there's more CMP Garands for me

But seriously, I'd take the Garand. Original gov't Garands won't be around forever. But we just passed the 100 year mark for the 1911 and more and more companies are making 1911's. They'll be around for a while.

I would get the CMP Garand. They will be sold out soon.

The state of California will know nothing about you having a CMP Garand.

Get the Garand. Norincos were great buys when they were $300 a piece in 1990. Now you can get Armscor 1911's for about the same price.

When CMP is out of Garands (maybe 5-6 years out IIRC) then they're done.

Id go with a Norinco 1911. How many people do you see here with one of those? Garands are a dime a dozen

You'll shoot the Norinco way more often and it makes a great platform for upgrades.

If it were me, I'd grab the Norinco in a heart beat. Garands are cool, but I can't see myself ever owning one due to the cost of ammo and my inability to reload where I currently live. I also want one to go with my Norinco 213, so I'm doubly biased.

Garand, especially if you don't already own one.

CMP ammo is mil spec M2 Ball and not too expensive.

I'd still consider it more expensive than typical .45ACP ammo...

M1 Garand....even if you already own one. Good 1911 .45s are plenty but M1 Garands are slowly fading away.

Norinco 1911. There are plenty of Garands around, but few Norinco's left in circulation.
