This applies not only to Police Officers, but "citizen X" firearm owner. They will spend $2,000 for a 1911, but cringe to spend $300-$400 on how to fight with a handgun/ carbine.
I'm not talking about being a "commmando" or "ninja", etc...being a good shot on the static range does not equate to learning/ knowing how to fight with your sidearm...
