    Stolen handguns recovered

I was tuned in on the scanner to the local PD late last night and I hear a LE call in a traffic stop (11-95) of an Escalade, occupied by four, w/ paper dealer ad plate.
Turns out one of the occupants had warrents, and the vin of the vehicle turned up stolen. Two handguns were also recovered stolen from Vallejo.

The dealer ad plate was covering the real license plate. The two handguns recovered were a Bersa .380 and a blue Taurus .40 with wood grips. (per radio discription).
The Taurus had been reported stolen out of Vallejo.
The Bersa came back via DROS check to an individual that has moved to Oregon. No transfer of ownership or report of stolen on file. (Straw sale perhaps? ) Intereesting what the followup of that will be.

Glad to see our local LEs are on top of their game.

    Was that the Benicia PD?
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.
