Opinion on Open Carry badge?

Let me start off with saying Im not one of the Open carry all the time to prove a point kind of people. Im not looking to look like a cop or look "cool". So please dont assume this.
I do however believe at some point I may have a time I want to open carry and wonder if a Open carry badge is a good idea. It may help in "dettering" negative responses from general population.

in order to avoid the public calling 911, you'd have to pretty much impersonate an officer. Camo pants, wife beater, trucker hat and Open Carry Badge will not pass. Impersonating an officer is a crime. Don't do it. You could probably explain it away, but why go through the hassle?

Just got my CCW and it's worth it. Most counties are becoming more CCW friendly...why not just go that route and not worry??? UOC is more of a hassle than it's worth IMHO.

Well since you said you're not in need right now, maybe by the time you're ready CGN and company will have the whole state as "shall issue". Keep an eye on The Sunshine Initiative for news in your area. Hope you can figure something out that works for you.
