I am moving to CA in october. I have everything figured out about what I can bring and leave in storage in WA. About a year ago I consigned about 100 guns to my friends pawnshop so he can sell for me. I have about 60 of them left. I need to pick them up before I move to CA. There is about 30 handguns, I will be picking up. He wrote the deal up as a pawn. I know he is required to send a form to the ATF about multiple handgun purchases in a 5 day period. Does anybody know if there is a line on the form saying it was a pawn. I just want to be careful about picking up 60 guns at onetime.

ATF multiple handgun form

You can see the actual form on ATF's web site...
Here's a quote from the instructions on that form...
Even if the FFL does submit the form you have nothing to worry about. At worst either ATF or your local PD will contact you and ask what's up. When you explain that you were just taking back your guns from pawn they will no longer be interested. There is a place on the form where your FFL can include extra info about the transfer (line 15). If he insists on sending in the form tell him to explain about the return from pawn in that space and then you probably won't be contacted by anybody. This form is to be used by licensees to report all transactions in which an unlicensed person acquired two or more pistols or revolvers or any combination of pistols or revolvers totaling two or more at one time or during five consecutive business days. This form is not required when the pistols or revolvers are returned to the same person from whom they are received.Last edited by Mssr. Eleganté; 04-04-2011, 8:08 PM.__________________
