I thought from the commercials it was going to be nonstop action... I was let down. I thought it was funny, and if you watch closely during the big shoot out there was some over the top gun safety stuff on gun nuts like us would notice. Like the guy storming the grocery store with a bolt action rifle with the bolt open

I liked it the only other movie that I've seen latey with FAL's in it was Babel. Last king of scotland and Hotel Rwanda had HK m91's though

I thought it was hilarious. I was expecting it to be a comedy, and was surprised that it was such a suspense-thriller. His fat partner had me rolling with all his stuff about action flicks, and when he re-enacted the scene from Point Break.

I greatly enjoyed watching Hot Fuzz, and I know it was a parody-comedy, but did not like all the instances the folks had their fingers on the bang switch.

It was one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time.

The whole intro bit where they recap the main character's police department record was so funny. When you compare the way he played that part to the way he played the main character in Shaun of the Dead you have to agree that he is a really good actor.

The extreme cartoon violence came as a bit of a shock, but was still funny. What about the flying kick to the old lady's head.

Was that a Sten or a Sterling in the town square shootout?

Funniest movie I've seen in a while. Unexpectedly so. Enjoyed it thoroughly for what it was.

You might want to mention this thread is full of spoilers. It's so much better without any knowledge of what's to come. I loved the dramatic change of events.

loved HOT FUZZ, better than Shaun of the Dead, imo.

I think the funniest part of the shooting scene was the guy blasting away with the Enfield No.1 Mk.III. I was cracking up.
