Best paint remover?

I'm trying to remove spray paint from my receiver without ruining the guns finish any good methods and removal liquids you suggest Besides be careful? I used acetone but its taking some of the finish with it.

i removed kyrlon paint from my eotech with goo gone extreme without damaging it
