I am looking for a glock 17 grip that will add a little bit extra to where my thumb and index finger meet. I did a mock up with some styrofoam and masking tape (to secure it) just to get a feel for how that would alter my shooting. The shape I have now proves my theory that this would improve my accuracy (based on sighting on an internal laser and judging movement as the trigger is depressed - going to the range soon and will test it there).
The problem is that it is a bit of foam and masking tape - hardly rugged, and probably wont last 1 trip to the range. So I was wondering if anyone made any grips that just add a little bit extra to this area of the grip. I am unable to post a picture of what I did, but here are the measurements.
I would be interested in anything even close to these dimensions that adds to this area of the grip even if its a slip on whole grip cover so long as it does not really change the rest of the size of the grip.
Thanks in advance
About 1/4 inch thick
About 1.5 inch long (from slide to magazine entry port)
Only the width of the grip
I tapered it as it goes down the back of the grip allowing my pinky and ring finger to grab the bare weapon. I also tapered it a bit side to side allowing for a slightly tighter thumb/index finger grip. This means the total surface area is slightly smaller than the dimensions may otherwise indicate.
