    Cleaning Kit Suggestions

So, I realized after tonights mass cleaning that I absolutely hate the poor quality of my cleaning kit. I bought this kit http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.com/s...5919/cat100063
for its wide array of calibers, but the quality really is just not there so should I just replace the cheap parts of the kit or does anyone have experiance with an awesome kit with an equally large array of calibers?

    TIA!!!

i gather and replace odds and ends as i need to. i use an old Umco fishing tackle box with fold out trays... for cleaning supplies and whatever else i want to stick in there.

some of my best tools are makeshift and not originally intended for the purposes i use them for.

For my M&P, I use Otis's small kit with BreakFree CLP and M7Pro. Their patch system is really great. They make a large multi-caliber pistol/rifle kit too. For the K31, it's white lithium grease, Q tips, and some BreakFree CLP.

Dewey cleaning rods and accessories are high quality.

Pro-Shot makes some good products imo.

Ever notice how the gun brushes available never quite do the job? Yeah, well me too.

Then I happened to notice my wife's make-up brushes --- good quality, small enough to reach into nooks, crannies and crevices on ALL my firearms to remove grime or apply lubricant. In particular, I use them to apply exactly the right amount of lube to the precise spot I need it.

I take all her hand-me-down brushes as well as a few she thinks she lost. The things are sold in all drug stores at reasonable prices. I organize them in my old cigar tubes. They really work!!

lol, I bought the same one years ago. I now use it as a back up and replace the items as they wear.

I switched to an OTIS kit years ago and also took a small range bag and stocked it with everything I need. The only thing that does not fit are the long carbon fiber rifle barrel sticks.
