Anyone have a source for one of these. It seems Im always just in time to miss out on a sale of one. Need it for a Khyber pass build Im trying to complete.

Best bet is to buy a complete sidefolder kit. They are hard to find and expensive. Don't forget that the sidefolder AK has a different front trunion with a niblet sticking out to secure the stock.

Russian Folder here. If it is Russian it is probably a 5.5mm and not a 4.5mm hinge. I think Kvar still has the 5.5mm trunnion assembly, no matter whether it is the 4.5mm or the 5.5mm you can buy one off Gun Broker. Honestly though, I prefer the Ak100 style polymer folding stock. Utilizes the same trunnion and can swap back and forth with the triangle as long as both utilize the same hinge size.

Thanks Ill look harder at Gunbroker. I would prefer the 4.5mm due to the receivers being Bulgy pattern. I already have 2 poly folders on my 102 and 104 both are 5.5mm and I had to weld and re drill the trunnion holes for the folder to catch the front latch. Im using the Triangle for a Khyber pass build. As I understand it the 5.5's were made with a different angle either in the stock or the trunnion or both. The Russian and US pattern poly folders I have had to have the trunnion angle corrected in the receiver for it to line up correctly. The 4.5 should be a perfect fit on the Bulgy receivers, the 5.5 are of the new 100 series design I believe.

K Var doesnt have the trunnion assy's in stock at the moment. I think Turbothis make them but I wouldnt know where to get the hardware.

I see. Well, short of one or two spending a few minutes for sale on AKFiles, I haven't seen triangle folders anywhere but Gun Broker. AKFan42 on GunBroker is a good guy and he seems to have plenty of 4.5mm trunnion kits. Look carefully at those trunnions, because as far as I can tell AKFan42's are all 4.5mm and everyone else's is 5.5mm.

Looks like he has the stock and the kit available but for 400 Ill pass. Looks like this Khyber pass build will be on the back burner for a while.
