    Safety Cabinet

    Hello everyone,

I keep my ammo in ammo cans but need to put the cans in a lockable cabinet in my garage. Are Fire Safety Cabinets a good idea, or just a regular steel cabinet?

    Thanks

Use a regular steel cabnet. Safety cabnets are designed not to hold pressure if things cook off but if you store in ammo cans, they will. So why pay more for a safety cabnet? I don't even use a cabnet, mine is just on shelfs.

I bought one of those inexpensive steel cabinets that Turners advertises as "gun lockers" for my more "sensitive" ammo (I forget the brand, but they are green). That is one reason I like to buy my ammo in the original cases. Stores easier.
