    Accessory Redundancy?

Regarding high quality slings, sling mounts, red dot sights, BUIS, scopes, etc.

Most of us probably have multiple firearm and platforms and need high quality accessories to fully optimize our shooting experiences or for actual deployment. Quality equipment also costs a significant amount of cash when you buy multiple times.

Do you guys generally "buy right and buy once", having one of each and moving it around different guns/platforms or have multiple slings, sights, scopes so you don't have to take it off, reinstall, rezero, etc?

Do what your budget allows. I used to switch sights and slings and such on my ar's, but i have since purchased other sets of stuff to complete each rifle. Now what's on it stays on it.

Buy once, cry once. Each rifle is built to spec and I don't really change much. If I want to try something different, I just end up building another rifle with that in mind.

I accessorize by caliber and barrel lengths - I rarely buy all the doo-dad trinkets. Red-Dots are about the only thing I buy; I don't own a single "flashlight" or forward vertical grip for any of my ARs (or other rifles). More than 80% of my ARs have iron sights and are in basic configurations of standard GI hand-guards and standard GI butt-stocks.

        That suits me just fine.

cant have enough to bog you down in the field.. 8lb rifle with 20lbs worth of accessories.. so KISS method applies here. scope and iron sight incase scope fails. changing over to eotech and keeping iron sights to make lighter and cannot have enough slings due to high wear n tear.
