I was firing my Taurus PT145 SS yesterday and the recoil spring captive device broke apart. Called Taurus, very little wait on phone. Took down my pistol serial number and asked for my address and phone number and said "Will get you the part right away." Free of charge. Taurus Lifetime of gun warranty not buyer. I purchased this pistol with the recoil spring looking chewed up by previous owner not sure how but the gun function until I shot it till it broke off completely.

"The full terms are we will repair your Taurus firearm FREE OF CHARGE for the lifetime of the firearm" I haven't discovered the glock side yet, my glock has yet to have any issue except exterior slide wear.

Wow, they must have really turned around......I've had nothing but problems with Taurus customer service. At taurusarmed.net they have a whole sub forum just for customer service complaints. glad to hear your experience was good....i'm still dreading the next time i have to deal with them!!!!

Taurus must have read my posts. I had a problem with a Taurus revolver many years ago. I ended up having a dealer ship it to them for repair. I got it back 6 weeks later. It was fixed, but no explanation.
While in for repair, I called and left messages for 6 weeks straight. To this day, I have never spoken to a Taurus employee.
I am glad Taurus is getting better.

I guess they really turned around, theres even anonymous survey on their website. I own quite a bit of Taurus and none of them has problems, just this PT145 recoil spring plastic cap broke. They told me they made a newer version of the recoil captive spring guide that would avoid this breakage. I left them a survey 5 across the board
