Pigs Spots & public land

Hi all- FNG guy here to this board. Directed over from another board that I frequent to find out more on (What else) the Cali legal Ar......

But that said & done~ onto other things. Thought I'd look & peruise around here

Been having a HECk of a time trying to find some decent spots to hunt Pig on public access land. I've seen the DFG publications but dont make to many specific spot mentionings. Dont want a guided hunt, just someplace to go where there's actually been pigs seen (like in the last decade~lol!).

Anyone got a halfway decent spot (hey! I know you're not gonna give up your PRIME spot ) some place Between the Northern Bay Area (Vallejo to Sonoma) and up North like Red Bluff?

Hey guy, its good to see you here also, as we have corresponded over at Battle Rifles, but I got a different name over there (M14).

Anyway, from what I hear from a guy I work with is for Public Land North Cow Mt., Knoxville by Lake Berryessa, and the Butes near Yuba City. Ive never been to these places, but it sounds like I will need to look into it.

I tried without luck several areas near Clear Creek BLM and outside Coalinga - what a god foresaken moonscape, no thanks!

Yeap... I'm still trying to find a decent spot that I can go hunting with out being charge $400+ fees... but so far no luck... It was easier to find a spot in Hawaii than here!!! seriously!!!

OK, who's in to just pick a spot that is legal and just heading there? No Pig? On to the next spot.

Twisselman Outfitters are the best deal, and it's a great hunt. they can put you on pigs or will show you where you can chase them, all fair chase, on ranches. the best deal, under $500 all said and done, and nice folks too.

if you want to shoot a pig before you get struck by lightning while holding a winning lotto ticket in an affordable new home in CA, it will be during a guided hunt.

Oh, he's just still trying to get that 4 mil Garand!!!!! I dont think I'm biting (yet) unless there's an IHC or Winchester atamped on either of those heels!!!!!!!

Thanks M1A~ Briefly looked around Berryessa. Didn't see anything in the way of Big Game tracks/sign but definitely nice area (i'd think) for turkey. Berryessa too was a dicotomy of spots, went from tall grasss & rolling oaks to higher up twuz THICK THICK scrub oak and manzanita bushes...

LOL! I know I know. But I thought it wouldnt hurt to try! I know I'll not share my top 5 deer & turkey spots~ But I WILL still anyone interested about anything below that top 5 list!!!!!!

Cheap easy women? Isn't that what the entire DNC is made up of? Oh, wait! I forgot whinney, jaded, and all around somewhere in there!!!!!

Dont know where Roberts is..... HOW MUCH FURTHER?
If I go the liggit route me-thinks I'm already looking at close to 3 1/2 hours from the North Bay, even longer if (and when) I'm up near Red Bluff.
