Does anyone know what day the short little cocky guy doesn't work on? I love dealing with Bright Spot, but can't stand dealing with him (I think his name is Brian).

His name is Brian. I am not actually sure when he works there, but I've heard some stories. Just suck it up for now. Hes actually a member on this forum. -
I've known Brian for years, never, and I mean never had a problem with him. He put together both my lowers for me in the shop, didn't ask for a dime, but I paid him anyway. Between Chris and him, I brought in plenty of rifles there (at least 20 or so) so I've dealt with most everyone there.
Brian is one of the nicest guys around, maybe you're reading the situation wrong or something else.
Have a great gun carryin' Kenpo day

To my knowledge he speaks a little condescending but he doesn't mean it. He just deals with a lot of inept people.Originally posted by KestryllThe volume of blood necessary to achieve erection would cause you to either pass out or if you didn't and managed to maintain an erection you would likely die from lack of oxygen to the heart and brain.Originally posted by ivanimalJust be glad you are not his next door neighbor. I am sure there are "good tunes" flowing out the window. I am imagining a cop car pulling up at 1:30 AM asking "Are you having a party?" and Bundo sayin "Nope just me and the BG's"

Brian, Chris, and everyone at BSP have been nothing but the coolest people to me. They are very knowledgeable; have always been willing to answer any and all questions I have; have always been polite, patient, honest, and very professional. I can't say enough good things about them. A+++ to BSP! We need more people like them around.

Are you kidding me?!?! I've been to Bright Spot Pawn several times and Brian is one of the nicest guys I have ever dealt with at any dealer! And I get around this state - I've driven from Los Angeles to Colfax, Penryn, Sacramento, and other Northern California locations on numerous occasions, as well as more than a few dozen times in the opposite direction to San Diego, hitting many different FFL dealers across CA.
Look, while I've never had much trouble at any dealer, I have observed problems for other people first hand while patronizing the dealers I most frequent, which also seem to be the ones that cultivate the most "bad dealer" threads here on Calguns, therefore I can understand many of the posts about past and present issues with Turner's, Rettings, Gunrunners, Evans, Gun World, Discount Gun Mart, and the now closed LA Guns and B&B stores, even if I think the customer in most of those anecdotes is still often part of the problem.
However Brian has always been amazingly helpful, easy going, polite, mannerly in a true gentleman's way, courteous, and empathetic to the customer's needs or dilemmas, in a way that conjures an older America, one that I grew up in, one that most of this country has forgotten. Chris is every bit as decent in that regard. It's a long drive for me to BSP, but I still make that trip, gladly so. If Bright Spot Pawn, Brian, and Chris were closer to me, I would be through their doors likely no less than twice a week, and my visits to all other dealers would be a whole lot less frequent.
They are the ONLY dealer where I was compelled to put up a post such as this back in May, and Brian had a lot to do with that:
So I have no idea to what you could possibly be referring.

Is this the same Bright Spot that submitted an M11/9 clone for testing for the approved list? There was mention of it in a previous thread."If a man hasn't found something worth dying for, he isn't fit to live." - Martin Luther King Jr.

Brian, as well as Chris is nothing but polite and professional. Great guys to deal with anytime. If you're having a problem with the way he explains things about OLL's, remember he has to deal with alot of new people who have just caught on. He's (Brian) also very enthusiastic about the "Black rifles", just like me. I must have sent a couple of dozen people their way, and highly recommend them both.
Yes the same one.sigpic

I believe he is a full time employee there so short of calling up Chris and asking him I could not tell you what his days off are. He can come across a bit on the cocky side but I think that has far more to do with the clientele that one must work with in a pawn shop in the inland empire. All that being said, Brian has been nothing but good to me, even when I have given him a light hearted hard time in the past, he just gave me some grief back. Sorry to hear that you guys did not hit it off as I have to agree with most of the rest of the guys here, nothing but good to say about Chris, Brian, and the rest of the crew at Brightspot.Comment

Can somone explain exactly how he came off cocky to a customer?Everyone at Brightspot is very cool and they have to deal with all sorts of different customers everyday so its amazing how they are actually in a good mood when you walk into there store.Chris and all the crew there the best to deal with!
Ok Chris you owe me $10 for that. You can pay me later..

I have used both Brian and Chris for transfers. It's always been a good experience, can't recommend them enough. We're just lucky that they aren't intimidated like most dealers and will sell and transfer firearms that no one else wants to touch(well almost no one

another +1 for chris and brian. when the whole OLL craze started, chris was the only one running the show. it wasn't until later than brian started assisting. don't know his background with firearms, but he has always been friendly and professional the dozens or so times that i've been out there.Comment
