Just had my upper stolen in Sac area

I went to show my new upper to my friend that owns a gun shop here in lodi, after I went to the gym and then home. I forgot I left my bag in my car so I went out to get it last night and my bag was gone.. Its a black UTG tactical duffle bag,the upper was:
    -Noveske 10.5 cqb barrel
    -10" troy hand guard
-A.R.M. flip up front and rear sights
    - noveske fire pig flash supressor
    -mega charge handle
    -young chrome bcg
Can I turn this into my insurance or am I screwed. Heres a picture of the upper complete

    Sorry for the loss.

    Was there a break-in?

How much is your deductible versus the value of the upper?

It must have been taken in front of my house. In lodi. My deductable is $500.Value of the upper is about $1200 new
If I turn this in im worried local police will wonder why the barrel is only 10.5. Could this come back and bite me in the ***

I had tools stolen from my car a few years ago. My auto insurance covered it.

Auto insurance would like a police report, and was the car locked? Hope it does work out for you.

A stolen upper should be the least of your worries.

take the loss, remove the pic from your post, and certain specifics of the upper.

unless you've got your CA DOJ permit and NFA stuff squared away.
