    OC / IE Optometrist needed

    Hi all,

Well it's time to give my 40 year old eyes some help. I've not had my eyes checked in a long time but I think it's time for glasses.

Can anyone recommend a shooting friendly optometrist in the OC or IE areas? I'm interested in getting a prescription specifically designed for the shooting sports. I'm having a hard time focusing on the front sight but target focus seems OK.

    Thank you in advance.

Dr. Toki at WoodBridge Optometry in Irvine. I have been going since I was 17 and am 33 now. She know I shoot and is not weirded by it. Nice place and not horrible prices. They are on the web

Jon Yamane od- 18685 main st huntington beach 92648 714 847-1271 Jon is the best od I have used. I went to two other doctors with headache problems, they never found a problem. One visit with Jon, he found a rare problem, got me a "prism" prescription, and the 2 year misery ended! Lots of selection, great prices, and awesome customer service. A must see (no pun intended) He knows I shoot and is a great personable guy.

I too am afflected by blindness and I find that one of the most important and overlooked things is not nessarily the perscription but who grinds the lenses. I went to Oakley Rx glasses about 5 years ago and have never seen better in my life (ok since I was 10) I know they are expensive but my sight is worth it!

Are you better off than you were four years ago?

I go to LT Optometry in Westminister. Very nice lady and her husband is in the Reserves too. I was surprised they remembered me after 3-4 years of not showing up (moved to Georgia)

It's been a few months... did you ever pick and choose to see one? Did they help you out?

If not.... does anyone recommendations for an optometrist who understands a sport shooter's needs?
