Where's the problem? The families of the slain men accepted over $1 million in payments, per family, and issued statements to the Paki courts that resulted in a pardon for our guy.
If that's good enough for dead men's families, it's good enough for me.Diyat," a part of Islamic law that is enshrined in Pakistan's penal code, allows victims to pardon a murderer with or without being paid "blood money," the former chief justice of Pakistan's Supreme Court, Saeed U Zaman Saddiqi, told CNN.Comment

$1,000,000+? Per family? Inflation's a *****, isn't it?
Kirsty MacColl's family only got ~$2240.00, if you count the $90.00 fine in lieu of prison time for negligent homicide.NRA Life Member

I did a LOT of reading when this first came out and since then, and while there is the SLIGHT possibility that this a case of negligent/criminal homocide, it's also very probable that it was just a case of one CIA operative, on a spook mission of some kind -- yes -- who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time when 2 paki dirtbags decided to rob him, and they paid the price dearly by targeting the wrong bad-*** mother ****er.
In other words, just because he was CIA or black ops or whatever, does not make him immune from random interractions with criminals in lawless areas of pakinstan.Last edited by xrMike; 03-17-2011, 11:26 AM.Comment
