How quickly can I buy another gun?

I thought that title would attract attention.

Referring to legal purchases from a Calif gun store, not Private Party Transfers.

    My question:

I can (apply to) buy a handgun every 30 days, and receive one 10 days afterward.

I have just bought a pistol, and have an immediate desire for a completely different pistol, which I will purchase after the 30 days have passed since the aforementioned purchase.

I also want to buy a new rifle, (which is not "concealable").

Can I go buy it now , at a different store, or do I have to wait another 30 days?

I am confused about how the two types of firearm purchases inter-relate.

    Thanks in advance, Don.

You can buy as many rifles as you feel like, as often as you feel like.

I believe the 1-in-30 rule for handguns can be worked around if you use a PPT or have a C&R, but I could be wrong on that point...

If you wait to buy the rifle at the same time as the pistol you only have to pay for one dros.

PPT on handguns is exempt from the 30 day rule, rifles are buy as many as you want in whatever time period, new handgun sales are 30 days from the day it was dros'd. hope this helps and it would be wise to start a new dros on day 31 to avoid mishaps.

The only way to bypass the 1 in 30 is by PPT or having C&R and a COE for guns purchased from a dealer. So, the 1 in 30 only applies to guns bought through dealers, not PPT. If you have a C&R and COE you can buy as many handguns you like from dealers with no time restrictions.

          Just trying to be clear.

You can buy as many pistols from a dealer as you want, you can only DROS one every 30 days.

Also, I believe there needs to be a separate DROS for every handgun, and you cannot include any long guns on a handgun DROS. But you can have as many long guns on a DROS.
