sounds like the "ruling class" is getting nervous about possible "peasant uprisings".

And I thought that carrying a gun automatically turned peaceful people into gun wielding criminals? Wouldn't that mean that those elected officials would now become......oh wait.....they already are....nevermind.

So my understanding is that the politicians want their job to be listed as an automatic "Good Cause"?

....The bill would also provide that the good cause requirement would be deemed to be met for any applicant who is a member of Congress, a statewide elected official, or a Member of the Legislature, for purposes of protection or self-defense....
Perhaps, if they did a better job of running this govt (instead of just spending money), they wouldn't feel/be threatened.

        Just my thinkin'

There are fights challenging laws based on the Constitutionality of them. Obama chooses not to oppose a certain groups rights in court. I feel that "any infringement" would include CCW,OLC, SBR, and FA. Please research current events on what Obama chooses not to oppose even though we have laws.

BS, somes everything up. I have a better reason to carry then those selfish aholes. Maybe if the politicians made some changes to help the people instead of themselves they wouldn't need to conceal carry.

                        Folks...

Please do not denigrate or oppose this. There are strategic reasons for this to occur. You need to take the larger longer-term view.

Note that the legislator proposing this is Sen. Larry Correia, who is one of CRPA's 'Legislators of the Year' in tandem with Curt Hagman (who helped work against AB962).

Sen. Correia would not be recipient of that award if CRPA's lobbyist Tom Pedersen and NRA's CA lobbyist Ed Worley thought poorly of him. The senator is one of those pro-gun Dems we talk about here - and we need 'em big time since it appears Republicans really don't wanna get elected in CA.

Your future CCW may thank you.

There's a reason LA county sheriff Lee Baca and the Brady campaign are opposed to this bill. Seems they can read between the lines better than most people on here.
