Action Pistol Questions-- Glock 19? Range Bag? Trigger Work?

Doing my first action pistol soon with my Glock 19.

I have a scherrer 3.5 connector in the mail as well as the Lone Wolf Ultimate Trigger stop to help with the trigger pull. I will put a few hundred rounds through this before the match of course to get a feel for it.

Any have experience with these trigger mods on a G19 for action pistol?

As for transporting, should I get a range back for everything and run a lock through my gun? Do I need to take 2 bags, one for equipment and other for ammo?

    Thanks

It depends upon what flavor of action pistol you are shooting, but generally you don't need more than 100-200 rounds (IDPA) or 150-300 rounds (USPSA). If you are shooting steel challenge, then you need about 300-350 rounds. So, no, you don't need a 2nd bag to carry ammo.

If you are planning on shooting action pistol frequently, then a large range bag is beneficial since you need it to carry ammo, holster, mag pouch, spare mags, eye/ear protection and any small tools you are going to take with you.

MidwayUSA has a great bag at one of the best prices you'll find:

But there is also no reason that a duffle bag with your gun inside of a padded gun rug won't also work. Get the things that you think you will actually use, and stay away from buying stuff "because all the other kids have them" until you know you need it. No reason to spend a fortune just to get started.

Have fun and focus on safety.
My friends and family disavow all knowledge of my existence, let alone my opinions.
