What's going on with Mikes Gunsmithing?

Anyone know the story on Mike's Gunsmithing in Long Beach? Went down to pick up a gun and there was a sign on the door. Closed 3/2-3/6.
Called there yesterday and today. Still not open.
No outgoing message on phone of course.

Prices were okay. They have to be there to get your gun back.

Do yourself a favor and don't have work done there. They have horrible reputation and deserved for being gun butchers. Also the owner has among the worst attitudes I've ever seen in a gunshop owner in my life. Thats saying something.

I'm learning. Apparently someone answered the phone today. When this deal is done that's the last

Let us know how it turns out. I'm glad you figured this out. I'd much rather do business with many other gunsmiths even if it involves shipping the gun out. Bolsa is open m-f regular business hours. Kings is open Saturdays if that helps and is a much more reputable shop.

I'll try again Monday. They don't work Fri and when i called about three and no one home. I have had a couple good experiences with Greta's but not any gunsmithing. I am generally disappointed these days. Seems like this state is not a place where people choose to go in business any more if that business is firearms related.

FYI - for next time. A great local gunsmith is Alan Tanaka in Torrance.

Yes, I went to Tanaka once and it was an odd deal. Something was going on with my guns and he thought they were okay. I think that screw up was mine from not lubing the guns enough so when he cycled rounds manually, that's something he wouldn't notice unless he fired the gun. I'll give him another tumble. I hear nothing but good.

Looks like Mikes is back open. I heard some medical emergency closed them for two weeks.
