Putting together a range box any input?

Putting together a range box. I have a bag but I always feel unorganized.I see the guys at the range with a zen like peace that what ever they need all they have to do is reach in their magic box and it will be at hand.They are always very quiet to the point that your scared to approach them to ask "whatca u got in there" and seem like a complete noob.So I come here for that
This is what Ive got so far:
HF 18.5 in tool box
Shooting bags (rest)
Small ratching driver set
Tape
spotting scope
I know it not much but normaly all I take is gun ,ammo, and targets.Ive made a pledge to actualy shoots the guns I have before buying more so I intend to be spending more QT at the range.I have more long guns than pistols if that means anything.Looking for suggestions and input of what to add and maybe where to get it from .Thanks

The only thing in my bag is ammo and earplugs.(and an Allen wrench and a screwdriver). If you really feel the need to bring tools, keep it simple. Allen wrenches for scopes, screwdriver and a cleaning kit. As a mechanic, I carry a small set of wrenches and a small socket set, not going to carry my whole tool box around. It's just not practical.

all the stuff mentioned before and..... band aids and burn cream. trust me on this, hot brass has an amazing ability to find its self against the most sensitive skin... i also keep some antiseptic cream, and anti itch cream (bug bites can be a real b**ch when your trying to get that prefect shot off)....

Same here. It's just the range - and on long days I may spend 2-3 hours. Aside from eyes, ears, ammo, tools, and binoculars - I bring a water bottle.

You may want to look at the type of range box that pistol shooters use. Well, the pistol shooters that taught me about competitive shooting as a kid anyway. These days you usually only see these type of pistol boxes being used by those that compete in Bullseye Matches. They have a place to mount the spotting scope on the top portion that opens up and have spaces for pistols in the upper compartment too. The lower usually has a drawer for cleaning supplies and small parts as well as the necessary tools for adjustment/repair. No reason not to use this style to create your own range box suited to your rifle shooting. Use the upper box space for ammo rather than pistols and keep ear protection and stapler there as well. Just a thought.

I carry a few basic tools (including a nipple wrench) in my box along with the black powder stuff. An orange plastic "Homer Box" from HD. I think it cost about $9 and is lockable.

I worked at 480 Moorpark Ave. around 1981-82. The only time I have ever had a gun drawn and pointed at my forehead.

Google shows the building still there, it was originally a car dealership in the 1950s. Good stuff.

A lot depends on what I take out. I like to have what ever tool I might need for each gun in the bag that I bring out. Plus a rubber mallet and a spray bottle of Windex if I'm shooting corrosive ammo. Rags ect. It might seem over kill but I usually shoot several hours from home and want to be prepared.

One bag for tools, then cans or boxes for ammo.

When I go to the pistol range, I usually don't bring much more than eye and ear protection in my range bag, in addition (when I remember) to Shoot-N-C targets and a Gerber multitool.

When I go to the rifle range, it's like I'm packing for a week in the desert. In addition to the guns and ammo, I bring my range bag with eyes and ears, my multitool, a gunsmith's screwdriver kit with multiple heads, a bottle of Windex, my full cleaning kit (kept in a tackle box from WalMart) staple gun, shooting bags, spotting scope, shop towels, hand sanitizer, bottles of water, and usually a snack like chips or pretzels.
