Local Gun Shops in Around Monterey?

I was looking to kill some time today. I wouldn't mind checking out some local gun shops in Monterey or the surrounding cities. We just moved here and the only shop that I found was outdoorworld or something like that.

    Any tips would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    ~Dj

    http://www.triggerhilltradingpost.com/ in salinas

there's also a dealer in downtown monterey by the post office, up the busy main road from the doubletree(can't remember new name)hotel. But can't find his info right now.

    This might be him:
    Ashmore Robert Gunsmith
    588 Houston St
    Monterey, CA 93940

That is about it for Monterey proper. Outdoor World is basically list prices and small stock, but they are happy to DROS for $100. Then there is Big 5 that has even smaller selection and mainly C & R stuff. Aside from Trigger Hill, there is Markley's in Watsonville:

Bob Ashmore is an excellent gunsmith by reputation, he does have some used guns and reloading equipment.
      That is about it.

There used to be a small gun shop just out side of King City on Jolon Road, next to the 7-11 type country store on the right. I have not been in there for a couple of years. Nice older guy with a big Dobberman dog. Even carried some reloading powder/bullets & primers.

definitely checkout markley's....closed tuesdays and wednesdays, btw. i just picked up a new snubbie from them on monday and used the range as well. i'd been in before to rent guns and shoot as well as a few other places on the other side of the hill [bay area] but found them to be the shop i'm most comfortable with. all behind the counter people are ex-law enforcement of one stripe or another.

ps outdoor world has a very limited inventory in the case at the capitola store on 41st street and i was told it was about the same at the store nearer to you. the santa cruz downtown riverstreet store has rifles but that's about it.

The king city gun shop is still open, I was just down there a couple of weeks ago. What part of the county did you move to?
