    Angeles Today

It was packed! Couldnt get a spot on the rifle side, so had to move to the black benches side. Ended up plinking at 100 yards. I found out I can hit the steel every time at 100 yards with iron sights on my AR. That made me happy, won a candy bar in a little friendly competition with my bro. Also brought my .22 out of retirement. It was a pretty good day at the range. Anyone else have a good time at Angeles today?

It was packed, I got to the range at 830 which thankfully landed me a bench. Shot til I was out of ammo wish I would have brought more then 100rounds of 300win :'(
When I left at 11 the range was packed and I had a line of people waiting anxiously to take over my bench.
All in all it was a good morning! Beats the hell out of work!

Was pretty packed so I shot pistol for about 30mins and then around 12 I found a spot at the rifle range and got a bench. I just wakled by and asked if every open bench was open...got lucky next to the guy with the whole bench set-up thing.

The wind screwed up my pistol shooting tho...

Yeah, we got there at 12 and left around 3. We got lucky when at the black benches someone was just leaving, then like 20 min afte rthey left, someone who was taking up 2 spots left and we jumped on them, all next to each other. I had 100 rounds of Federal .223 to shoot out of my AR and an endless suply of .22LR ammo for my bolt action marlin. Plinked the whole time. Fun Fun Fun

We usually go around 1pm. By about 1:30-2 it starts to loosen up some.

Really? Good to know. And have any of you shot the .50 they have there for $10? Does that include ammo in the cost? What all do you need for that?

Depends. Seems to get thinner after lunch on Fridays when I'm in from time to time anyhow.

Now what you want to do is go in the rain... I think we had the entire 100yd range all to ourselves.

Neither does the rest of LA.

I went for the first time Sunday, was also pleased to find I can consistently hit the targets at 100y with irons. (I have little to no experience with irons, was afraid I wouldn't be able to hit the broad side of a barn)

Also got to meet a few Calgunners. Gonna have to bring the wife next time!
