WASR muzzle break

Hello,

I just purchased a California compliant WASR 10. It has a welded on thread protector on the muzzle. Can I cut and remove the thread protector and instal a slant muzzle break without welding it, or does it need to be welded?

You can. Just make sure to replace it with a US made muzzle device to be 922r compliant. It doesn't need to be re-welded.
