I hope I am putting this in the right forum thread this time!!! Thanks to certain forum members for being patient and showing me where to go here for better coverage of this question....here it goes....again!
My father has land in North East Okla. They still have the good ol boy trading system back there for hunting land ect. this is one of the guns he might get for some land. When I was visiting him he asked me to do some research for him. This is what I found....
This is the link to what it is. It is all #'s matching built in 1963. The barrel is like glass, and it is missing the extra pad, and firing pin, (owner did not want it to fire), but looks like it can be fixed very easily. I know nothing about AK's except for what I read on the internet. It seems the more quest I ask the more people around here in Cali distance themselves from me. I will make this clear...My father nor I own this rifle, and it is nowhere near California. The only thing I cant find for this Ak is the $$$ range. any help would be appreciated.
I just got off the phone with my father, and asked a few questions a forum member here told me to ask. The rifle was brought back from Nam. The Vet who brought it back has passed and now his son has it. It is full auto/semi auto...I am assuming milled because the rifle is very heavy compared to the other AK's he owns. The rifle has everything the link shows but the extra pad. I dont know the laws for this type of rifle in Okla....so I told him to find out before taking possesion. The only thing I cant find is value. I told my father it could be worth thousands of dollars in fines and some time in jail....but he is still interested.
if the links do not work it is a Kbkg wz. 1960 wz. 1960
carbine - grenade launcher model 1960
thank you
