    PayPal and gun buying?....

Is it just my imagination, or is it true that the majority of the on-line gun stores & suppliers do not use these guys? 'Cuz in the last week or so I've been slowly buying oddball accessories and things for the new 925RM that's coming soon----ammo & cleaning kits & extra magazines et al. And at checkout, not a single company has offered PayPal as a payment option. It hasn't prevented me from buying anything as I have an extra Monopoly money bank account that I use for fun stuff but never keep more than $500 in. And I have a P/Pal account that I use the same way (but usually has more ca$h in it) mostly for EBay crap and what not. My small issue though is that I've got to either make a special trip over to this little bank to add funds, or wait 3-5 days to transfer some coin over from P/Pal. And I hate driving in this gawd forsaken town.....

Paypal is an anti-2a business that closes accounts for buyers and sellers involved in perfectly legal transactions of firearms and in some instances even accessories. Combine those ridiculous policies with their fees, and that's why a lot of businesses don't want anything to do with them.

I sold an item and got the money via paypal, I told the guy I was using the money to buy a Glock. In the message he put something like "enjoy your Glock," and they sent me a letter that I might be violating their terms of service. They are antigun.

Yes. They flag transactions on keywords and close accounts over it. Unless you're completely discreet(and never have to file a dispute), paypal and anything involving firearms don't mix.

I use my debit card on eBay because my bank's protection/dispute policies are better than PayPals. Also, doesn't eBay own PayPal? I'd be worried I'd get ****ed and told to pound sand.

As stated paypal & just about any firearms items are a no-go. just don't do it. Stocks are ok - as long as you keep the description simple & clean.

NEVER use your bank accoun to to pay via paypal. settle on your best credit card (I use my USAA card) and if a seller tries to screw you over, invoke the banks chargeback policy. That'll get the paypal bunch all in a tizzy, but you'r ddefinitely get your money back.

Of course, always be polite and reasonable with sellers and buyers, but if you feel you are being robbed that is the best way to deal with it.

for the same reasons i would NOT recommend the paypal cedit card, because then you just took your best option on dealing with a bad seller away from yourself.

Also, DON'T use the criminal enterprise / ponzi scheme, AKA GPAL.com/Gunpal.com.
